Gay bars in Le Marais are part of the entertainment, they all own a different design, always busy, some of them disappeared in the past 5 years due to the incredidible rise of concrete estate prices in the Marais. They are often replaced by chic boutiques that makes a strange mixity. Still the Marais keeps its soul and we, at PARISMARAIS support the global diversity of the area. After the covid crisis, more bars have closed down, but many are resisting, some trying to seduce a new clientele.

Gay Nightlife in Paris
The Marais district is without a mistrust the hub of gay Paris but this city has plenty to give gay visitors so by no means limit yourself to one neighborhood.
The Parisian perspective on sexual orientation is so relaxed it is almost non-existant and some of the city’s hottest night-spots are gay oriented.
Some formally gay-only clubs have mainstreamed slightly, but there are still more than enough to pick from.
In the Marais the narrow streets are packed with gay bars, cafés, shops, restaurants, hotels - basically all you could ever need.

Relaxed and sophisticated lesbian bar. Seek the cocktails, you will not mourn it. 5.30pm – 2am (4th arrondissement).
Folie’s Pigalle
Mixed same-sex attracted and straight universal. Paris' only transsexual themed night takes place here on Sunday nights. 6pm - dawn (9th arrondissement).
Interface Bar
Laid back gay exclude near the Lgbtq+ and Lesbian Centre. Busy even during the day. 3pm - 2am (11th arrondissement).

The Cox opened in 1995. It is situated right in the heart of the Marais, on one of the Parisian gay quarter's most bustling streets. The Cox remains one of the busiest and most famous bars in Paris. Its packed outdoor terrace is mythical and the daily Happy Hour has become a Marais institution. Every day, resident DJs mix up eclectic House sets, and the bar's themed décor is completely refurbished every three months - making the Cox one of the most dynamic bars in the area. They just celebrates their 20 th anniversary and plan to stay there for long as they claim " Rouge Toujours " ( their window is red, symbol of the french resistance ) very busy from 7 pm to 10 pm.
