Conor McGregor was support on the defensive to dodge his latest language controversy.

Paulie Malignaggi has reacted to Conor McGregor mentioning his name as a potential future opponent by appearing to suggest the UFC megastar has a “weird gay fetish” for him.
The former boxing earth champion responded to a call-out from McGregor by attempting to shut down any further converse of a fight. In so doing, Malignaggi, who has a bitter history with the Irishman, unloaded in a message that went in an entirely diverse direction.
“I’d like to box Paulie,” McGregor told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani ahead of his UFC 246 showdown with Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone on Sunday (AEDT).

When asked by foxsports.com.au whether he wanted to talk about McGregor’s comments, Malignaggi suggested he wasn’t interested, before unleashing anyway.
