Milford, PA– Gay Friendly Experience in a Historic Resort Town

Milford, PA is a very small town in the Poconos with a smaller population of 1,021.    It is a widespread gay enclave for tourists from NYC and Philadelphia looking to enjoy the great outdoors.  Milford is located right on the Delaware River where Pennsylvania meets New York and New Jersey.  It is nestled between the protected forest environment of the Poconos and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.  Both parks hold protected forests, majestic waterfalls and many hiking trails.  Many gay & lesbians buy time-shares and cottages in this area to take advantage of the fishing, boating and swimming offered.

The town has a vibrant arts community and boasts two beautiful main streets, Harford and Broad that are lined with exquisite historic buildings, antique stores and galleries. The downtown also boasts many wonderful cafes and restaurants.  Many who live there attribute the success of the town to lgbtq+ activist Sean Strub who bought the Hotel Fauchere and restored it to its turn-of-the-century Victorian elegance.  The area is very green with many aged trees and perennia
