It's so cringe.
I'm sorry. I really wanted to love this, but it's...ooph. It starts out in first person narrative from Cameron, which makes it feel personal from the author. When the conversation between Cameron and his dorm mate Jason starts this just veers off. The way Cameron takes things from Jason asking What's wrong to Cameron saying Let's just kiss is so out of nowhere. It's so awkward, but this is an erotic fantasy so it works. For the characters, not for me. I read this through my fingers, my secondhand embarrassment at the dialog was so mighty. It's a quick read with a happy ending that seems as plausible as anything else in the story. The potential for better is definitely there, but this reads like a very amateurish effort. When it says Straight to Gay, it means it is racing from one end of Kinsey's scale to the other for both of these characters. The dialog in this is just too much, but I am content to note that the creator can and has done enhanced writing conversations.
