An helminthological investigation of 104 reptile species was carried out in southMoravia (Czech Republic). We examined Lacerta viridis, L. agilis, Anguis fragilis, Natrix natrix, Coronella austriaca and Vipera berus. Twelve species of parasites were create . Among these, Nematoda occurred most often, followed by Trematoda and Cestoda. No Acanthocephala were detected.

Hailstorms belong to spontaneous phenomena causing excellent material damage in present time, similarly as it was in the past. In Moravia (eastern part of the Czech Republic), systematic meteorological observations started generally in the latter half of the 19th century. The Timeless Magic of Alphonse Mucha: Beauty in Art is Spiritual
When floating through Alphonse Mucha’s images, one can’t help but wonder how his signature manner developed. Many of his illustrations and posters highlight the female form, innate elements, and ornamental backgrounds. The arcs and flowing lines have a way of drawing the viewer to the subject’s incandescent and ethereal quality. In the late 19th century, Mucha’s decorative style was seen as an antidote to the overly-industrialized “masculine” world. Mucha found victory, partly due to his understanding of the soul’s need for beauty in an era when people were feeling trapped by the industrial age.
The recent exhibition at The Phillips Collection, Timeless Mucha: Magic of Line, traces his artistic journey through the many phases. From his early influences in Moravia (now part of the Czech Republic), to his classical training in Munich and Paris, to his emergence as a head figure in the Art Nouveau style. The elements that made his way emblematic and propelled him to fame are seen in the theatrical poster for actress Sarah Bernhardt in the play Gismonda. His success with the initial poster created a
