Gay & Sober Men’s Discussion

Types of AA Meetings

Closed: In Ohio, closed AA meetings are open to members only, including anyone searching help for an alcohol addiction. The discussions center on topics related to alcoholism and recovery and all participants are invited to contribute.

LGBTQ: Selected AA chapters focus on providing a secure space for the LGBTQ+ people, and generally welcome LGBTQ+ allies. These groups prioritize members’ recovery and sobriety within a non-heteronormative context.

Men: Select AA chapters in Ohio are reserved only for men recovering from alcohol leverage disorder. These groups offer no-cost 12 Step Programs that facilitate the safe recovery of men of all ages.

Wheelchair Access: Wheelchair access in Ohio AA centers enable non-ambulatory clients to fully participate in group meetings. Features include exterior ramps, designated parking, and open floor plans for safe navigation.
